<div id="subtitle">Investment fund Global Infrastructure Partners to bid for London's Gatwick Airport</div><div><p>Investment fund Global Infrastructure Partners said Monday it would make a bid for London's Gatwick Airport.</p><p>The fund already owns London City Airport, a smaller and more business-oriented airport in the British capital.</p><p>A company spokesman refused to say how much the fund would be willing to pay for Gatwick, or whether it had any partners in the bid.</p><p>"All I can confirm is that GIP is submitting an indicative bid today," spokesman Stephen Hardwick said.</p><p>Airport operator BAA Ltd., which also owns Heathrow and Stansted airports, was forced to put Gatwick up for sale after Britain's competition watchdog in August recommended the company dispose of two of its three London airports. It has said it wants to hold on to Heathrow and Stansted.</p><img src="http://admatch-syndication.mochila.com/images/ad.gif?aid=40613581&bid=informcom" /></div><div id="copyright"><div>
